REPAIR
We are fully equipped to repair all your jewelry in our workshop: soldering and resizing of rings, chains, bracelets, etc.; cleaning and polishing of your jewelry; white‑gold (rhodium) and 18kt yellow‑gold plating on gold or silver pieces; prong inspection to ensure the security of your stones (recommended annually); replacement of diamonds and other stones in case of loss; prong repairs when needed; watch and clock repairs; battery installation and replacement; engraving on bracelets, pendants, and rings; restringing of pearl necklaces and bracelets, as well as re‑gluing pearls onto your jewelry.
It’s important to take care of your jewelry by having it cleaned, polished, and checked for prong integrity and stone condition. The shine of your jewelry will look just like the first day.
MANUFACTURING
Our team can create the piece you’ve been dreaming of, whether it’s a ring, a band, a pendant, a bracelet, or a pair of earrings. The only limit is your imagination. Once we have a clear understanding of the piece you want, we will guide you in choosing the appropriate gold (10kt, 14kt, 18kt, or 19kt), certified natural or lab‑grown diamonds, and gemstones. You will see each step of the process, and we will move forward only after your approval at every stage.
You should allow approximately 3 to 6 weeks for the complete creation of your custom piece.
REMODELING
Do you have an old ring that means a lot to you? An old pendant that belonged to your grandmother? We know exactly how to restore the shine you’re hoping for. We are committed to meeting your expectations while respecting the sentimental value and integrity of your jewelry. You will see each step of the process, and we will continue only after receiving your approval at every stage. You should allow approximately 3 to 6 weeks for the complete restoration.
WATCHES
We offer an in‑store battery replacement service for watches of all brands. In most cases, the work is done on-site in just a few minutes. We also provide link adjustments for metal watch bands, as well as replacement of leather or metal straps for standard watch models.
If your watch requires a more complex repair, our partner watchmaker picks up the pieces in-store and repairs them in his workshop. The average turnaround time for this type of service is about six weeks. Broken crystal replacement is also available, with a minimum turnaround time of two weeks.
CLOCKS
We also provide repair services for all types of clocks, with the exception of grandfather clocks, which must be serviced directly in the client’s home. Repair times generally range from four months to one year, depending on the complexity of the work required and the availability of replacement parts. Our watchmaker, with whom we have collaborated for many years, regularly stops by the store to pick up clocks and carry out the repairs in his workshop.
LASER ENGRAVINGS
La Forge d'Or recently added a laser engraving machine to their store!
Depending on the traffic, the engraving can be completed in a few minutes or within hours. In some cases, we will call you back as soon as your engraving is ready.

Laser soldering
With our laser welding machine, we can perform welds on metals such as stainless steel. This allows us, in most cases, to repair jewelry or even metal eyeglass frames. For eyeglass repairs, the lenses and nose pads must be removed beforehand by your optometrist before bringing them to the store.
Pearl stringing
We offer a restringing service for your pearl or gemstone bracelets and necklaces. We work with pieces strung on elastic cord, silk thread, nylon, or metal wire. Our specialist can recreate the original threading style, with or without knots, reusing your clasps or installing new ones if needed. The usual turnaround time for this type of repair is also about two weeks.
